Michael Jeffrey Jordan (born February 17, 1963) is a retired American professional basketball player and active businessman. His biography on the National Basketball Association (NBA) website states, "By acclamation, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time." Jordan was one of the most effectively marketed athletes of his generation, and was instrumental in popularizing the NBA around the world in the 1980s and 1990s.

After a stand-out career at the University of North Carolina, Jordan joined the NBA's Chicago Bulls in 1984. He quickly emerged as one of the stars of the league, entertaining crowds with his prolific scoring. His leaping ability, illustrated by performing slam dunks from the free throw line at Slam Dunk Contests, earned him the nicknames "Air Jordan" and "His Airness". He also gained a reputation as one of the best defensive players in basketball. In 1991, he won his first NBA championship with the Bulls, and followed that achievement with titles in 1992 and 1993, securing a "three-peat". Though Jordan abruptly left the NBA at the beginning of the 1993-94 NBA season to pursue a career in baseball, he rejoined the Bulls in 1995 and led them to three additional championships (1996, 1997, and 1998) as well as an NBA-record 72 regular-season wins in the 1995–96 season. Jordan retired for a second time in 1999, but he returned for two more NBA seasons in 2001 as a member of the Washington Wizards.

Jordan's individual accolades and accomplishments include five MVP awards, ten All-NBA First Team designations, nine All-Defensive First Team honors, fourteen NBA All-Star Game appearances and three All-Star MVP, ten scoring titles, three steals titles, six NBA Finals MVP awards, and the 1988 NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. He holds the NBA record for highest career regular season scoring average with 30.12 points per game, as well as averaging a record 33.4 points per game in the playoffs. In 1999, he was named the greatest North American athlete of the 20th century by ESPN, and was second to Babe Ruth on the Associated Press's list of athletes of the century. He will be eligible for induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009.

Jordan is also noted for his product endorsements. He fueled the success of Nike's Air Jordan sneakers, which were introduced in 1985 and remain popular today. Jordan also starred in the 1996 feature film Space Jam. He is currently a part-owner and Managing Member of Basketball Operations of the Charlotte Bobcats in North Carolina.

I bought this DVD for my husband for Christmas. I was not even a Rush fan at the time. Wow, am I ever a fan now!!!! He loves it and I have watched it more times than I even remember, it's that good! They are so great! You will not be disappointed at all. The fans are off the hook! Never seen fans like these. Just....buy it! That's all I can say.

If you're a Rush fan you have to own this one. A well produced video displaying the exceptional talents of Neil, Geddy, and Alex. A wide spectrum of songs brings out the old and the new. It's hard to believe this band has been together for 30 years!

I bought this for my dad for a birthday gift he defiantly enjoyed this DVD it has all there old songs as well as there new. If your a Rush Fan I would recommend this DVD.

I collect concert DVDs and have a pretty pimped out sound symstem; oh, and I love Rush. I was excited to get this DVD, but I must say, "BOOOOO." Yes, the Brazilian fans are amazing, but they're more annoying than amazing. The DVD sounds like there's some guy with a mic in the middle of this crowd recording the whole thing, as if the recording equipment is not even hooked up to the instruments. The crowd friggin' yells every lyric on most songs, drowning out Geddy Lee by a bunch -- EVEN on YYZ that has no lyrics (they shout the melody)! And, yes, you can't really hear the drums or guitar. I like to collect these DVDs for posterity, to hear a band play live. This was just lame. The problem, I guess, was that they were only going to film the last night of their tour, so they were sort of stuck with these crazed Brazilians and the poor acoustics of the place. Waaaaaaa. P.S. The best sounding concert DVDs I've ever heard are The Eagle's Reunion tour (incredible sound) and Santana's Supernatural tour. Those are what concert DVDs are supposed to be.

shipment was prompt. condition was same, if not better, as asvertised. based on my experience with this shipment, i would recommend this seller.

The Notebook (New Line Platinum Series) The Notebook (New Line Platinum Series)

Reviews

Once in a while, under a sinking yellow moon, a writer's pen beats in perfect synchronicity with their heart. Then, while the autumn leaves tumble through the crisp air and laughing children frolick in the colour-filled fall, a director finds the words of the writer fill him with joy and sadness. He is forever changed. The Notebook is one of the most beautiful, warming, heart-felt films I have ever seen. The story follows a love story we all wish we could live. It's the reason art exists, to elevate us from the tedium of existence. This film really is a joy to behold, wrenching too. Relax, shed your protective shell's, and let the film wash over you like a warm summer breeze. *****WARNING***** If you allow it, the film will provoke a truly strong reaction that will leave you altered, maybe wanting, for life...

Read the book, I enjoyed it much more than the movie. The movie is abridged plus added material which isn't in the book. If you like Hollywood drama is one thing but the book goes into detail which relates to real life and gives you a feeling of essence of life and what it is to love another human being. Nicholas Sparks is an exceptional writer. Every time I read the Notebook I cry as if it is my first time. I will mention in passing I saw the movie "A Walk to Remember" and also read the book. There too the movie is much more removed from the book (than the Notebook) with a lot left out. To be in sync with real life better read the books than to buy the dvd's!

This is one of my all time favoritest movies. Heartwarming, tearjerking, funny, romantic, charming...Beautifully done!

An old man in a nursing home reads a story to an old woman each day. The story he reads follows two young lovers named Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun. They met one evening at a carnival many years ago. Allie's parents separate Noah and Allie. They disapprove of Noah's lack of wealth, and move Allie away. After waiting for Noah to write her for several years, Allie meets and becomes engaged to a handsome young soldier named Lon. In a local newspaper, Noah's picture catches Allie's eye. He is standing in front of a fully restored, 200 year old home. The article is filled with praise for his accomplishments. Allie's heart nearly bursts. The last time she saw this house it was a rotted decaying shamble. She stood enfolded in Noah's arms in the great entryway and listened to his plans to buy and restore this house. Just the way she wanted it. With her love for Noah still alive, the picture pulls at her heart. She has to go back, see if Noah is okay, and tell him about her marriage. They both think the echo deep in their hearts, the one that has lasted all these years, is not shared by the other. The cry they could not stifle. It wasn't over for me. This movie will keep you guessing at the outcome, and delivered twists throughout the whole movie. The Notebook is extremely well constructed, and a truly remarkable movie.

A very good love story. I liked it more than I thought I would. Very well done. I would see it again.

Average Rating:

When you consider that old-fashioned tearjerkers are an endangered species in Hollywood, a movie like The Notebook can be embraced without apology. Yes, it's syrupy sweet and clogged with clichés, and one can only marvel at the irony of Nick Cassavetes directing a weeper that his late father John--whose own films were devoid of saccharine sentiment--would have sneered at...

Love Finds a Home Love Finds a Home

Reviews

I would recommend the movie "Love Finds a Home" for the famiy to view together. There are trials and joys. There is love and laughter. In our everyday world we face a lot of things and sometimes a look at what someone else has gone through can give us a diferent perspective to look at for ourselves today. Watch and enjoy!

We have this whole series and have watched them more than once. Great family movies and everyone can get something out of them to apply to their own life.

Latest in the Love Comes Softly Series. As good as the previous ones. Highly recommend this if you liked the other ones.

I bought this because I own pretty much the whole series (with the exception of Love takes Wing, which I found to be particularly bad). The poor leads from Love Takes Wing are also stars in this, but do a slightly better job. Story is sweet of course, but it's disappointing that the quality deteriorated with each sequel. For those who love the series, this is worth a watch. If you don't - don't bother.

I have loved this entire series "Love Finds A Home" was so well made it's perfect to end the series! My only wish is that this set would've been made into a weekly tv series like Little House on the Prairie, Christy, or the Waltons. That way they could've taken more from the books and really developed the lives of the characters even more.

Super Size Me Super Size Me

Reviews

I bought to use in my high school health class. Basically it was good but here were language and content that were not classroom appropriate.

So let me get this straight. IN ADDITION to eating only McDonald's 3 times a day for 30 days (and super-sizing every time he's asked), this guy: 1) Severely reduces his physical activity from a healthy, regular regimen to almost nothing; 2) Switches overnight from an almost entirely vegan diet to one heavy in animal protein; and 3) Force-feeds himself portions that are way more than he would eat under normal circumstances, including having multiple desserts in a single setting, having very large, regular sodas when diet sodas are available to him within his own rules, and frequently picking the highest-calorie sandwiches over more sensible ones, all of this resulting in 5000+ calorie days . . . . . . and after it all, we think that McDonald's is the lone culprit to his weight gain, depression, and liver problems? How is it possible that so many intelligent people have watched this movie and managed to miss the fact that this guy stacked the deck in his own favor? I can get behind a movement to keep the likes of Pepsico and M&M/Mars out of schools, and my ears are open for a rational discussion on the morals of marketing to children, but I refuse to let some clever film maker pull some slight-of-hand so I'll support his political/social agenda. This movie is a LIE.

'Super Size Me' follows film-maker Morgan Spurlock as he eats nothing but McDonald's junk food for an entire month, and measures the effect this has on his health. The documentary is very entertaining and quite funny in many parts, and Spurlock is an engaging host. But ultimately, it's also kind of pointless. The problem is that Spurlock seems to want to make a serious Michael Moore style "expose" of the fast food industry.....but he doesn't really have anything to shoot at. The supposedly "shocking" conclusions he reaches are: 1) Eating nothing but junk food for an entire month makes you fat and unhealthy (Duh..). 2) Corporations like McDonald's want to make money (Double Duh...). Are these supposed to be stunning revelations? A discussion about the obesity epidemic, and the trend of increasing fast food consumption, is certainly worthy and timely. But blaming fast food companies and their marketing tactics for "making" people fat (like the two girls who tried to sue McDonald's) is predictable and a bit of a cop out. No matter how aggressively McDonald's might market its products, nobody's forcing you to eat it. And I seriously doubt that even McDonald's itself would recommend you eat nothing but their food for an entire month. It would have been better to spend more time exploring WHY we are so fixated on unhealthy junk, and what changes we can make to our lifestyle to encourage healthier eating. Inviting us to accept responsibility for our own eating habits and giving us examples of how to change them would have been very constructive. After all, what we put in our mouths is entirely our own choice. As for McDonald's getting rich from selling you unhealthy food.....well, if you shell out $20 a day for junk food when you could prepare a proper meal yourself for half the price, whose fault is that? McDonald's provide a service, and it's entirely up to you whether you want to pay for it or not. If you're stupid enough to waste your money, there'll always be someone to gladly take it from you. So as I say, it certainly is entertaining, and is enjoyable if you're in the right mood. But as the hard-hitting documentary it tries to be, it basically fails, because it doesn't really tell us anything we shouldn't already know.

It's funny to me how many of us say, "of course you're not supposed to eat fast food every day for every meal," but, then, guess what. Even though this information in this documentary may be obvious for some, for me it was worth the "journey" down this avenue just to see the extent of the "damage." Yes, I know I'm not supposed to eat fast food foods every day, and I know I am supposed to make better food choices even with my ridiculous work load, but still even I struggle at times. Even with illuminating information like that presented in this documentary, I still manage to toss up my hands and utter, "oh, well, I'm too tired today, tonight, tomorrow, etc., to cook." Thanks, Spurlock, for this journey.

This video is a real eye-opener for me, about obesity and Americans. I am not considered 'obese' in the medical field....but, I have now lost 30 lbs and this movie kept me motivated (or disgusted) enough to make sure I make this life-change forever. I recommend this movie to everyone!!! I showed my son, 13, my boyfriend and his son, 9, to make a serious impression on their futures. I know you can watch this movie for free over the internet, but, I bought it so that I can offer it to anyone, friends, co-workers, family...etc...so they would not have an excuse to NOT watch it! Way to go Morgan. You did not jeopardize your health in vain. I am very grateful to you, for changing many, many lives. Sincerely, Lighter in Texas.

This movie brought back a pleasant memory or two for me when I saw it again. My wife and I both enjoyed seeing it when we were younger and we wanted our daughter and nephews to see it since they had never seen or heard of it before. We all liked it!

this is an awesome movie this movie is so cool. the effects and the acting are great. this movie rules.

In all aspects I should hate this movie but for some reason it still amazes me. A classic 80s movie thanks amazon for the great price:)

I bought this movie since I had not seen it in perhaps twenty years. I thought that TIME would surely improve what I remembered as, well actually I barely had memories of the movie. The reason I did not have vivid memories of this movie is simply because it is rather FORGETABLE. I'm sorry I didn't really enjoy the movie. I like a lot of Tim Robbin's work. Lea Thompson was the delight of the movie. She is very, very sexy, and very, very pretty and so seemingly sweet. She was a delightful young woman back in the 80's. I enjoy her in movies from this time period. Anyway, the problem for me was that Howard, or Mr. Duck was not endearing, barely cute, the voice of Mr. Duck also didn't do much for me. I probably enjoyed the special features, or the RETROSPECT, of Howard The Duck more than the movie. I'm not SORRY that I purchased this DVD. On the level of sentiment I am glad to have a copy of the movie. However, as a fan of quality in films the script seemed to LACK quite a lot. The movie simply isn't FUNNY to me. I think Lea Thompson is quite a beauty. I also greatly appreciate the LABOR and SKILL involved in putting this project together. The idea of a little person in a duck outfit is novel. The idea of a duck person falling in love with a young woman/girl is novel. The idea of a super evil menace coming down in a laser beam though is just a bit too convenient and DUMB. I didn't care for the actor's portayal of the evil VILLIAN. I thought his EVIL "VOICE" was just DUMB. For me this movie was just LEANED more to the side of BORING and DUMB as opoossed to ENTERTAINING, FUNNY and SCAREY. I do think, however, that the BAND that Lea was in was quite an ACHIEVEMENT. I think it is really GREAT to KNOW that that is LEA THOMPSON SINGING. And I liked Howard's Guitar Solo. That was pretty GREAT as was the HOWARD the DUCK Song. Now if the rest of the film had only moved along with some sort of comedic or dramatic TENSION. The movie simply doesn't hold together well. There seems to be a problem with the FLOW of the PLOT. I guess MOST of the problem lies in how the characters were never ACTUALLY talking to the DUCK character. Howard's VOICE was OVERDUBBED and it really SHOWS in how the movie PLOT lacks COHESION and dramatic or comedic tension. There is a real lack of PRESENCE in the film. Still, nice try and great to have the movie out on DVD.

I really like the idea of a love story between a tough-yet-gentle earth girl, Beverly, and an alien who just happens to look like an Earth duck but who is just a regular guy on his planet. You can sympathize with Howard's character--in one scene, Beverly hides him in a TRASH BAG- "I just don't want people freaking out all over the place." Howard-"What about me? I'm gonna be in therapy for the rest of my life." (I love all his smart-aleck remarks.) Despite this treatment, he comes to love her and when a new alien that really qualifies as a monster kidnaps her, he gets their friend Phil to help him rescue her, despite not having any way to fight other than knowing a bit of "quack-fu". My personal favorite scene is where Howard and Philsie (as Howard dubs him) steal a tiny motor-powered hang-glider type airplane and have this hilariously wild flight with the cops shooting at them, despite neither of them knowing how to fly a plane! I saw HTD at age 13, and liked it so much I went and bought the comic book series (even though I don't read comics), the bubblegum cards and then, years later, I discovered that the story had been continued (or had an alternate story; I can't remember now) in a set of 7 magazine-sized graphic-novel type issues, in black-and-white art. I still have them. In one, Beverly ends up going to Howard's world, where she is seen as the freak. Bad reviews aside, HTD has always been, for me, a great combination of wacky humor, funky music, intriguing romance, creepy alien bad guys, and some of the best one-liners ever!

Average Rating:

If you concentrate on the fact that Howard the Duck was a notorious box office dud (still brought up today) and considered one of the worst films of the '80s, it's entirely possible to enjoy this special effects piffle...

Gettysburg (Widescreen Edition) [VHS] Gettysburg (Widescreen Edition) [VHS]

Reviews

This film is very historically correct (I live in south central Pennsylvania and have visited the battlefield many times). The casting and acting are superb. The scenery is breathtaking. However, the DVD version is manufactured on a strange double-sided long play disc. So, you have to remove the DVD at mid-point in the movie and flip it over. Also, the DVD does not alway synchronize the sound track properly on the second side, so you sometimes have to restart it a couple of times to get it to sync. Assuming that the original master film is of sufficient quality (it should be since the companion film, Gods and Generals, has been released in Blu-ray, and it was prior in time), a Blu-ray release of Gettysburg would indeed be a historical treasure. Additionally, a Blu-ray release would eliminate the troublesome need to manually flip over the disc to see the remainder of the movie, since a Blu-ray disc would have more than sufficient capacity on the single side of a disc. The Blu-ray version would also provide greater capacity for auxiliary tracks and greater sound depth. I sure hope that someone persuades the film maker to release a Blu-ray version, and if they did, I would buy it immediately, even though I already own the DVD version.

I love this movie, as well as Gods and Generals. I just hope that The Last Full Measure is also made into a movie.

Purchased this for my son-in-law, a semi-serious Civil War buff, but now a busy Naval officer. Watched it together. He said it was the most nearly accurate telling of the battle he has viewed. I only wish I had seen this movie before I visited the actual battlefield years ago. I thought the language was somewhat stilted, but then, I had to remember that was the way people talked ~150 years ago. Perhaps some of the portrayals of the Southern leaders came across a bit too strident, but, hey, I have yet to meet a born Southerner that was not passsionate about the topic. Aside: I married into a Virgina family with down-country roots dating back to the early-1800's. Others watching it thought it ran a bit long, but the battle did take place over 3 days. Buy it and have an extra bag of popcorn ready to toss into the mircowave.

This video was purchased for my grandson for Christmas. He was very pleased with this movie.

This is an excellent movie, if you are looking for an historically accurate account of the battle of Gettysburg. It is very well done, with meticulous attention to detail. It is an unusual two sided dvd. Highly recommended!

Heroes of Telemark, The (1965) [VHS] Heroes of Telemark, The (1965) [VHS]

Reviews

Anthony Mann's last completed film, The Heroes of Telemark doesn't have the kind of reputation most of his later films enjoy, yet it's still a cut above most men-on-a-mission war movies of its day. Although it creates two star parts for Kirk Douglas and Richard Harris, his spectacular account of the Norwegian resistance's attempts to destroy the Nazis supply of heavy water doesn't deviate quite as much from the facts as most `true' WW2 stories and is often more interested in the moral implications of how many innocent civilians you can `allow' to be killed to prevent the Nazis from getting their hands on the atom bomb than it is in the big explosions. Uncredited script doctor Harold Pinter's rewrite also adds some sexual politics as reluctantly recruited playboy scientist Douglas and boy scout resistance leader Harris (in one of his few 60s films where he's not wearing more eyeliner than the leading lady) lock antlers over Ulla Jacobsson, but for the most part it's a well-crafted, well-cast above-average genre film, with Mann's striking composition and use of landscape (particularly his beloved high country) very much to the fore in the lengthy 18-minute raid on the heavy water factor, played almost entirely in silence. The lead casting is rather curious if you're familiar with Mann's career - Kirk Douglas had him replaced on Spartacus and felt he owed the director a picture while Richard Harris had originally been cast as Commodus in The Fall of the Roman Empire only to pull out of the picture - but they work well together, and there's a strong supporting cast: Michael Redgrave, Eric Porter hamming away shamelessly as the ruthless Nazi overseeing the project while Anton Diffring carries out his orders as usual, Roy Dotrice as a collaborator (ironically his skiing double in the film is one of the real Norwegian saboteurs!) and a host of familiar faces like Maurice Denham, Geoffrey Keen, Mervyn Johns and George Murcell. Robert Krasker's cinematography comes into its own in its original 2.35:1 widescreen ratio, but unfortunately it's not well represented on the film's UK DVD releases, which overdo the edge enhancement to such a degree that some characters often have halos whenever they're in long shot (the Norwegian DVD release has better definition but also has slightly faded color and some print damage). On the plus side, Carlton's special edition PAL UK DVD comes with a wealth of extra features (some 70 minutes worth), including vintage black and white location reports and a slew of lengthy on-location interviews with Anthony Mann, Kirk Douglas, Richard Harris, Michael Redgrave & Ulla Jacobsson as well as the original theatrical trailer.

"Heroes of Telemark" is loosely based on the World War II efforts by the Norwegian Resistance to prevent Nazi occupation forces from moving materials crucial to the development of an atomic bomb out of Norway. The movie opens with the escape from Norway by sea of a group of resistance fighters (led by actor Richard Harris). Among the passengers is a professor from Oslo (played with characteristic me-first bravado by Kirk Douglas). The leading resistance fighter and the professor are persuaded to return to Norway to combat the Nazi procurement of heavy water, a by-product of a power plant in the Telemark region but vital to producing an atomic bomb. The two men return to Norway, reconnoiter the facility, and plan and execute an attack in mid-winter. Their subsequent escape across the wilds of central Norway, closely pursued by the Nazis and their turncoat allies, is a dramatic highpoint of the movie. The attack cripples the facility, but unfortunately, the Germans salvage stores of the heavy water and make plans to ship it out of Telemark by the same ferry used by the Norwegian civilian facility workers. The "heroes of Telemark" must plan one final mission, one that puts their fellow Norwegians gravely at risk. The movie is notable for having been filmed on location in Norway, and for highlighting the exceptional risks run by the Norwegian resistance, and Norwegian civilians, in a country occupied by a large and ruthless Nazi force. It is recommended as an entertaining dramatization of a real life success in the war against the Nazis.

A decent action-adventure based very loosely on the sabotage of the Nazi heavy water program by Norwegian resistance. It is a little-known and therefore underappreciated corner of the war and so, for that reason, it is good we have this movie to remind us. It is only unfortunate that hollywood thinks too often it can improve on the drama of real life. It is generally better to tell the story closer to the truth than to try and improve it. Still, despite that disappointment, it is an entertaining film with an exciting story to keep you interested to the end. But you will want to read one of the several books available to get the real excitement of this story.

Warning Alert Danger: In the smallest possible print, in an easily overlooked part of the seller's data, is the fact that their version of this film is DVD Region 2, ie, not playable in the US. They refuse to accept return of the disc on this basis. Do not purchase from them unless you are one of the four people in the US who owns a multi-region player. Some sellers may offer the Region 1 (US) version of the disc. The guys who knowingly sold me an unsuable disc are bums.

This is one of my favorite World War 2 movies, but if you want to see it on DVD today (April 2006) you will need a region-free player as it has yet to appear in the format here in Region 1. Luckily, I have a region-free DVD player and the Region 2 DVD that includes a nice, informative documentary shot at the time of the movie's production that talks extensively about the historical basis for the script. It's a worthwhile purchase, but I am baffled by the lack of any such release for North American DVD collectors who do not have region-free players. Though not exactly the most historical accurate of movies, this film (like the similarly Hollywood-ized BATTLE OF THE BULGE) is true to the heroic spirit of the participants. In fact, whereas this movie shows the resistance fighters arranging for the children on the ferry to wear lifejackets so they can be saved from drowning. In actual fact the Norwegian partisans were under orders from London not to attempt a rescue and were long gone by the time the ferry sank. In reality the first attempt at attacking the Norsk Hydro plant, "Operation Freshman", a British glider commando raid, ended with one tow plane crashing, killing both the crew and commandos. And a second glider crashing, leading to the death of some in the accident with the rest executed by the Gestapo. An attempt by the United States Army Air Force to destroy the Norsk Hydro plant from the air failed, the British then turned to the Norwegian section of SOE. Eight of these attacked the plant, did tremendous damage and escaped without loss. The Germans then decided to move the heavy water and its production equipment to Germany. It was American born Knut Haukelid and an another Norwegian who planted the charges than sank the ferry Hydro and defeated the Germans' attempt to build an atom bomb. The movie details the allied attempts to disrupt the production of heavy water in Norway (an element vital to the development of the atomic bomb) and therefore covers much the same ground as the also excellent 633 SQUADRON. But whereas that movie covers the efforts of the RAF to bomb the plants, this production details the efforts of the Norwegian resistance to first detonate explosive charges n the plant and then to sink a ferry carrying the heavy water back to Germany. As a result these movies have different strengths and challenges. While 1964s 633 SQUADRON relies heavily on the difficulty of training for and executing an aerial bombing of a plant shielded by a mountain and guarded by heavy anti-aircraft defenses. The movie HEROES OF TELEMARK (from 1965) takes its suspense more from the human element. And as such, the two leads Kirk Douglas and Richard Harris turn in excellent performances. Douglas as the determined scientist who believes himself superior to the fighters because of his intelligence and Harris as the resistance leader who questions the rationale of the raids and the cost in human lives of the attacks. Confronted with evidence that the Nazi's are producing heavy water for use in the development of an atomic bomb, Norwegian scientist Dr. Rolf Pedersen (Douglas) demands that he gain passage to England to confer with British scientists. After hijacking a Norwegian vessel for this purpose he returns with resistence leader Knut Straud (Harris) with a mandate approved by the exiled Norwegian royal family to destroy the plant. The first attempt at placing charges results in a mere delay, leading the resistance to consider the loss of civilian life from a ferry sinking versus a (at that time) largely theoretical super-weapon. This movies true audience is the lover of Boys Own adventure movies. [...]
