The dvd was great if u like mad blocks and dunks but if otherwise then it won't really be very good. I like it but it's not like they did to many great moves like the AND 1 mix tape.

If you've watched the NBA you've seen better hightlights. I really wanted to like this, but it just didn't work for me. It really wasn't worth getting, very disappointing. It just had endless highschool videos of dunks, no insight into the players or their lives or their real skills. Lots of player I didn't recognize or care about their highschool carers. Kind of boring, something like the Allen Iverson video is more interesting.

Born to Ball is off the chain. This thing features clips of Kevin Garnett, Allen Iverson, Tracy McGrady, Paul Pierce, and Kobe Bryant, along with up and coming stars like Jason Richardson, Zach Randolph, and Amare Stodamire. And get this, all these clips came from when they were high school prep stars. It would be better though if they had longer clips and other stars. But don't get me wrong, Born to Ball is one of the freshest DVD's out there. So if you want to see some of this fresh footage, you better get Born to Ball. Oh yeah, 50 Cent is one the DVD. SWEET!!!!!!!!!

Are you kidding me? AI, Kobe, TMac, Amare, The Truth all in high school. Yo, there are like 30 nba players in this joint. Best ball DVD out. 50 Cent ia off the hizzee.

something different from the street ball highlight dvds. good sections on paul pierce, his coach, some of his friends and a personal interview with him in his high school gym. great highlight high school footage of all-star nba basketball players run over tight 50 cent beats. if nothing else it is a nice collectors item.

I bought this for my 10 year old son's birthday. He absolutely loves it! He is glued to the TV when he is watching it.

This was a gift for my 10 year old son. It's an inspiring true story of overcoming difficulties and of learning to work with your team mates.

Like this one too. Very detailed story about our Philadelphia hero. It's just bad they they didn't get the Championship. But as what the story told it's not how you win it but how you play it by your heart and passion.

You are simply the best. So is this DVD. It makes you want that championship ring even more. Go Iverson! Go Sixers! What a game winner over Denver yesterday...

A brilliant look at the life so far of one of the biggest stars in the NBA. It goes behind the scenes showing all he went through as a youngster, truly inspiring. It also shows how many people believed in him and gave him a chance when others wouldn't. AI is one of the greatest players in the league and this is a great watch for all basketball fans.

NBA Dynasty Series - Philadelphia 76ers - The Complete History NBA Dynasty Series - Philadelphia 76ers - The Complete History

Reviews

For 20 dollars plus this dvd is worth it, and if you are a true 76ers fan then you should diffinitely purchase this. It has all of the history of the franchise going back to the 1940s teams. It has the wilt chamberlin Billy Cunningham era, to the 9-73 76ers, to the arrival of Dr.J and the whole dunking guys like daryl dawkins and moses malone and them to there finals apperance and victory in 1983. To the fall of that team and rise of Charles Barkely, to the trade of him. Then to the era of Iverson. It has the games when they swpt LA in game 4, and the 7th game vs Boston in 1983, then the series when they lost to Chicago and that one game they won in Philadelphia in the 1990 confrence semi-finals, then my favroite the game when Iverson stepped over lue in game one of the 2001 NBA Finals. The only con to this is that they should have games from the 1983 season and 2001 like that game 2 vs Indiana game 2 vs Toronto game 5 vs Toronto game 7 vs Toronto game 7 vs Milwakee and the seasonal game when they beat Sacramento on TNT in feburary of 2001. But overall, this DVD is difintely worth it.

There could have been more classic games from the 80's, but overall a good collection and good video quality.

This is a 6 disc set of the Philadelphia 76ers and the team's greatest moments. Disc 1 is the history lesson part. Various players and successful seasons are profiled. Disc 2 thru 6 are individual games presented in their interity. Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins does the hosting for disc 1. The first disc is basically old material already released during the VHS days. Stuff you get include 76ers A History, rivalries with the Lakers and Celtics, 66-67/75-76/82-83/00-01 seasons, today's team, and Sixers greats(Wilt Chamberlain, Julius Erving, Darryl Dawkins, Maurice Cheeks, Moses Malone, Charles Barkley, and Allen Iverson). When you see clips from the 66-67 season, its amazing how much the racial make-up of the league had changed in a few short years. It's funny watching highlights from the 82-83 season. The way the players and fans looked(uniform, clothes, hair, makeup, etc) ranges from funny to frightening. The 00-01 season was all about Allen Iverson along with then Sixers president Pat Croche. Croche is one excitable dude. I thoroughly enjoyed the 82 Conference Finals game 7 at the Celtics along with the game 4 sweep of the Showtime Lakers in 83. I have never seen these games before, and although I am not a Sixers fan, I still love watching the Dr J Sixers performing at their highest. Funny how players would opposing players a hand to pick them up when someone fell down. Haven't seen that since I started watching the NBA in the early 90's. The 1990 Semifinal game 3 between the Bull and Sixers was from a cable channel called Prism in Philly. Those were the days when the player's support shorts would show from underneath their regular team shorts. Disc 5 is game 1 between A.I.'s Sixers and the Kobe/Shaq Lakers. Then finally Disc 6 is all about Allen Iverson "The Answer". Again, lots of Pat Croche in this. Very nice set for fans of 76ers or fans of NBA history in general. The highlight of this set for me was watching Julius Erving finally win his long awaited championship. You do get a lot of Allen Iverson material. I didn't mind, but it will seem dated since Iverson was still protrayed as Philly's "Answer". Still, get the set and relive some of Dr J at his best.

dr.j mo, barkley, moses and my main man allen iverson. crossover giant thank you. much love for SIXERS...

It is great to get in the time machine and see these old games. The whole set has some wonderful, perfect selections and some others that are debatable. I'm talking mostly about the games included here. I started following the Sixers religiously in 1983 and haven't wavered since, so I feel I have a sense of what works and doesn't work. Of course the 1982 Eastern Conference Finals game and the 1983 Championship win are marvelous and enough to justify the price tag. Even though I never saw the 1982 game as it happened it is legendary and what a thrill to get a look at young Andrew Toney dominating the game. The Charles Barkley victory against the Bulls in 1990 is good entertainment but hardly a classic. There must be a better representation of the imprint Charles left on the team, but, unfortunately, perhaps not a meaningful playoff game. Seeing Jordan in his prime IS worthwhile, by the way. Next, I think the game 1 victory over the Lakers in 2001 pales by comparison to the playoff series that year against the Vince Carter-led Raptors. How about the game 7 that came down to the final shot? That was classic Allen Iverson basketball. Game 1 against the Lakers was somewhat of a fluke, seeing how the Lakers won the next four. I guess I appreciate the Allen Iverson disk, but it seems like a throw in. I would have preferred another classic game from days when the Sixers were the class of the league. What about a playoff games from Dr. J's younger days? However, any vintage Sixers is good Sixers, and so I recommend this without hesitation.

NBA Shooting Arm Sleeve NBA Shooting Arm Sleeve

Reviews

Very good, but can produce in smaller size. I bought for my son for 10 years and it was huge. The single serving size for adults. The shipping was very expensive for the size and price of the product.

i got this as an arm sleeve and to be honest, just to look cool. however, i have big arms but this never properly fit. however, i've found use for this to prevent shin splints by using it as a leg sleeve instead. i have to say that as a leg sleeve, this is as good as they get and it's comfy and very useful. and if you play anything in cold weather, this helps a lot if you want to wear shorts in the cold.

This is a great product for those who have tattoos and need to cover them in a resturant job. It keeps your sleeve nice and cool with its material and just plain looks good on the court or at that job that makes you cover up the tattoos.

I purchased this arm sleeve a while ago and it keeps slipping off my son's arm. He is a pretty big kid too. These sleeves would be good for anybody with really big arms, otherwise I recommend buying a different sleeve in youth size.

I purchased this for my Grandson's 9th birthday. He loves wearing the NBA Shooting sleeve while playing basketball!!

Only the Strong Survive: The Odyssey of Allen Iverson Only the Strong Survive: The Odyssey of Allen Iverson

Received the item on time and exactly the way it was described. No issues and would buy from this seller again."

This book is about allen iverson and his life growing up in newport, virgina. It talks about his hardships and his life. Larry Platt describes him as 4 people: a raper, basketball player, a hero, and a father. It also talks about his accomplishments and goals in life. This book surpases any other sports biography I've ever read.

This book is about Allen Iverson and his life and how it was like to grow up where he lived. Iverson lived in NYC where people that he hated would try to start a fight with him. His friends would have to keep an eye on him. Allen Iverson then tried out for a team to keep him out of trouble. Then he started to play basketball and that worked because they weren't able to mess with him. Then Iverson grew up to be a professional basketball player. Iverson then played for the Sixers and became MVP. His life was really hard because his mom would stay on top of him but his mom was nice. Iverson then met a girl and she became his girlfriend and then they had a baby. Iverson just kept playing basketball and his wife was proud of him because he played so well and that's all about Allen Iverson.

This book on Allen Iverson just came far too soon. Allen Iverson is my favorite current NBA player partially b/c he shakes up the status quo -- not necessarily because he wants to make that his objective, but quite poetically, he's doing it just by being true to who he is. This book is a tale about a kid from the wrong side of the tracks, that basically struck it rich but admirably remains "the same" as opposed to "assimilating" just to make his economic & financial counterparts feel comfortable around him. No true criticism of Larry Platt's writing style. If he wanted to go deep into Allen Iverson's undocumented youth and youth exploits, that's fine too. Bottom line is this book, while it has several defining moments, just isn't a compelling enough read because it was written still TOO SOON. A.I., love him or hate him, totally revolutionized the NBA and the image it projected to Middle America. I'd love to read a book about his life when he's 50, 60 or 85. I'm sure he'll be on "60 Minutes" doing a "My Life & times" segment. Whoever writes the book about his life just before that interview will surely have a No. #1 best-seller.

This book delivers the confidence needed to endure any obstacle set before you. Larry Platt digs deep into Iverson's history to give you the experience no else has. Excellent read on the life of Allen Iverson.

Allen Iverson: Fear no One Allen Iverson: Fear no One

Reviews

If you like biographies about famous sports people then should read Allen Iverson:Fear No One by John Smallwood.Allen Iverson doesn't have to be your favorite basketball player but if you like basketball you should read it.Read about how he grew up and the challenges he faced. It tells you how he maDe it 2 the NBA. i really like this book and if you like basketballmor A.I.(Allen Iverson)your will definetly like this book.

This is a book a bout a young man who is born into poverty but overcomes all challenges he is faced with. Allen practices all his life and is able to make it to the NBA.This book is great because it tells you about alot of basketball games that Allen played in. The author really gets you into the game it feels like you are in the fans watching the game. There was nothing about this book that I didnt like. A part that I really liked was when Allen said "This was a perfect ending to a day" I liked it because i could get excactly what he was saying. If you love basketball you should get this book as soon as possible!

If you like sports books then this is the book for you.The book about Allen Iverson tells about a young man who grew up in the flums. He became a great basketball player, and retires and has a great life and family. This book attracted me because there was tons of basketball, and it's always interesting to find out about someone's life from when they grew up in a tough neighborhood. One thing that i didnt like about this book was that it talked to much about his college carrier instead of his more interesting pro carrier. Allen Iverson was obviously my favorite character because of what he had to go through in his though neighborhood with all that violence and drugs and how he stayed away from it and became one of the NBA's greatest players. My favorite line was when Iverson said "This is a great ending to a day!" He said that after he hit the winning buzzer beating shot on page 132. It just made me feel good inside because you know that anything could happen. If you like basketball then you will love this book! One question i have is that why did he do some of those foolish things as a child?I recomend this book to everyone because it teaches that if you try your hardest you can suceed.

This story is about a famous basketball player named Allen Iverson. He was born in Virginia Hampton. He lived in a bad neighborhood where people sold drugs and killed people for no reason.Iverson had two sisters. He was the oldest one. he went to Georgetown when he was in college and was a point guard. In college he was the mvp on his team and is the mvp on his team right now in the NBA.Allen Iverson plays for the Philidelphia Sixers. In the 2001-2002 Allstar game Iverson was the mvp.He led his team to the playoffs and then to the championship to play against the L.a. Lakers who was number one on the western cenference.Although the Sixers lost the championship Allen Iverson and the other players on the Sixers Played a heck of a game. The Lakers were impressed to see how good Allen Iverson was and how a little man like Iverson played with sush a big heart. Even though the Sixers had a chance to win the championship in a long time they still kept there head up and waited until next year.I recomend this book people who like Allen Iverson.

I picked this book up to learn more on "The Answer".This book is good for kids ages 9-12 years of age.It is a great book to pick up if you want to know some more of what when on in his younger years.I think the author could have went into the younger years of Iverson. He mostly focused his writing on his current actions and a couple run ins with th Law.But other wise I think it is a great book if you are looking to read more about his NBA career and College Career. But if are looking for more a book where it tells about his childhood I would not tell you to pick this one up.It is great for kids that want to learn about there favorite Basketball player!!

Reviews

I thought the book was an ok book. It wasn't suspenseful but it did not make me want to abandon it. It did interest me when it showed how much commpassion Allen had for his family. I always wanted to turn the page quicker and quicker because as I have already mentioned he was trying to support his family and I wanted to see how he would make out trying to support his family. This was an ok book but, somebody who is interested in a compassionate boo, they should consider this book to pick.

3/24/04 author Glen Macnow's bio on Allen Iverson in a profile of Iverson via the "Sports Great"series is an applaude to the author as well as the talents of Iverson (sans his outfits and tatoos). His determination to "enjoy the sport" spills over to the spectators and obviously helps his skills in a sport where "height" had always been one of the criteria in being one of the "favorite draft picks". Playing in a town like Philadelphia (the Quaker City) who consider "the Arts" as no more important than their sports leagues ,his attitudes which are discribed even initially by MacNow ("basebasket ball's most fascinating player"; "ray energy"; "loyal"to fans, friends, family; mentored by Georgetown coach John Thompson and coach 76'ers Larry Brown and 76'ers team President Pat Croce ,)the emphasis is on the fact :the "game" is not the only place to focus on being a winner.

Had these kicks years ago, nothing flashy just comfort.Great support, traction and feel. What else do you need? If you need b-ball sneaks to actually PLAY B-BALL(imagine that-lol.lol.)the you'll like these.

Great shoes, but stopped making them so very hard to find. Have been wearing them for about 10 years; probably at least my 10th pair. Only limited "ugly" colors left!

Ordered these for my son for Christmas. Got them 2 days later. Very fast service.

My purchase went fine. Unfortunately, I saw them for a cheaper price online, after the fact.

This is a great product, altough due to iverson's name on it, i feel its a bit more expensive than it should be. I chose this product because my first choice which was half the price was unavailable in my size. The only real complaint I have with the product itself-- regardless of price-- is that the tongue of the shoe is cumbersomely thick and a bit of an annoyance. It causes a slight hinderance when tieing the shoes. If you are patient enough to let them get worn in -- or you want to manually compress the tongue- then i would definitely recommend the product. If you want everything to fit perfectly right out of the box then this is probably not the shoe for you.
