I received the Posada tee in a timely manner before the holidays. The plastic bag had a sticker on the front with "Posada" on it so I assumed the tee was what I ordered. Unfortunately, when the tee was opened as a gift on Christmas, we discovered that the back was completely blank with no name or number. Big disappointment

For some strange reason McFarlane decided to anchor the figure to the base with one peg and for an even stranger reason, they included ankle joints. So the end result is a figure that slumps to one side and eventually tips over.

Okay, I have no idea what a few of the other reviewers are talking about. If you and your child enjoy baseball, there's no way you wouldn't consider this book a homerun. I'm not a Yankees fan, but I really enjoyed this book. My four-year-old got it when he was three, loves it, and wants to read it over and over. The story is written by Posada with the help of Robert Burleigh, the author of the excellent Home Run: The Story of Babe Ruth. The illustrations are excellent. The story moves along at a perfect pace, is well written, and shows a young player that baseball takes a lot of patience. This book belong on your shelf with Casey At the Bat: A Ballad of the Republic Sung in the Year 1888 (Caldecott Honor Book), Take Me Out to the Ballgame (Aladdin Picture Books) and other great children's baseball books.

Current New York Yankees catcher, Jorge Posada, relates how he became a switch hitter at his father's insistence when he was a Little Leaguer. Average fare with no real pazazz. The proceeds from the book DO go to Mr. Posada's foundation for the ailment from which his young son suffers---a nice touch but the book itself is blah--and I see ONLY real Jorge Posada fans of young age enjoying this one.

Halfway through this book, my wife convinced me to start reading it, myself. As I read it, I started thinking of how many of these things I used to do as a kid but, how little of them, with my busy schedule, I do with my kids. We then decided to start doing some of the exercises and playing some of the games that Laura and Jorge mention here. Although we don't do them every day, the kids really enjoy them and are constantly asking us for more. That motivates us even more to go out there and continue exercising with them. What started as a way to get the kids to have fun and in good shape has also turned into a challenge for my wife and I to get into better shape as well. One of the things that I have also noticed is that the kids are getting along much better too. I strongly encourage anyone to pick up this book and read it. The good thing is that you can just read it little by little.

WHAT AN INFORMATIVE AND FUN READ...iF FOLLOWING THIS GUIDE GETS MY FAMILY INTO THE GREAT THAT THE POSADA'S ARE IN I THINK ITS MONEY WELL SPENT!!!
